In this video I show an approach how to manage curved Alucobond sheet metal cassettes and prepare them for automatic output.
Basically, a curved sheet metal cassette cannot be modeled because the side tabs cannot be modeled for it. However, since this is done to a certain extent in practice, I would like to show a little way how you can manage this anyway.
The basic idea is that you work with 2 parts which are controlled together via an assembly. The first sheet represents the actual representation for the details and drawings. The more time you invest in the representation of the 3D part, the better the representation looks. From this, however, the development is also calculated manually in order to take over for the 2 part that represents the straight part in order to generate the development from it.
That's why exactly the 2nd part is necessary. This is only generated to create a development from it. This is why the length of the curved flap is added to this part.
I used the external referencing to not have to make the workshop drawing of the sheets for each part, but so that most things are preserved and I only have to correct any shifted dimensions.

Wichtiger Hinweis zu Pfosten:
Beim Pfosteneinbau sind die 1/2 Pfostendicke in x- bzw. y-Richtung keine Eingabewerte des Geländerkonfigurators (i_ex…, i_ey…), sondern die Werte müssen von der Pfostenvariante erzeugt werden. Deshalb dürfen in der Variante nicht die Variablen i_ex und i_ey verwendet werden, sondern stattdessen ex und ey. Diese Werte stellt der Geländerkonfigurator dann in den Variablen i_ex bzw. i_ey der Füllung zur Verfügung.
