There were a few more with the sketches Functions überarbeitet und auf den aktuellen Stand gebracht. Somit wurden die Bedienung aller Erzeugungsfunktionen der Skizzen auf den Selben Stand gebracht. Damit lassen sich die Elemente wesentlich einfacher erzeugen. Man sollte jedoch nicht vergessen, dass mit der “SHIFT” Taste sich die Maß Bedingungen deaktivieren lassen.
The chamfer function has been completely revised in this version and adjusted to the same status as the rounding. Thus, the operation of both functions has been made the same.
With both functions, however, you should not forget that if you click the right mouse button you have many other useful functions to execute the chamfer or the rounding quickly and easily.
A few points have been expanded for the Split function. The preview has been expanded a lot so that you can see more quickly what the result looks like and what the original part was.
In the steel construction area, a further design variant (automatic steel construction connection) clamping plate has been expanded. This variant was requested by a large number of customers and was therefore also included in the connection catalog.

Somit stehen diese jetzt auch in allen Fertigungszeichnungen mit der Zeichnungsverwaltung zur Verfügung. Somit ist es auch verständlicher zu sehen und man findet die Funktionen an der richtige Stelle wo man sie auch erwarten würde.
The catching of HCM and parameter dimensions has been changed in HiCAD 2022 in such a way that if you move the cursor over a dimension that is in front of a component, then this is caught beforehand for processing.
The component behind it is no longer marked as it was in earlier versions. This simplifies the operation by a small but very useful step.
A new data format was introduced in HiCAD 2022. The HiCAD file can be seen in a similar way to a ZIP file where there are many files in the SZA. A new procedure has been introduced which combines the data sizes by a very large part.
As a result, the files become smaller and also faster when saving and opening a file.
From HiCAD 2022 you can use the function of a view heading. You can now easily add a heading to your views without 2D or 3D texts.
The function is also available to you with the right mouse button
In this function you can insert a view designation directly or create an additional designation using the editor. As usual, further attributes of the construction and the view are available in the editor.
In the spherical / cuboid detail view, the option has now been extended that a reference to the origin of the view can be created directly in the dialog. View headings can also be created here immediately.
A large number of new options for designing the plans can also be created here.
A lot has been done with the representation of the section symbols. Now it is now possible that you can use the usual cutting symbols which are very often required in the construction industry.
There are of course a large number of setting options to adapt the display to your needs. You should not forget that you have all the attributes available for the labeling text and can therefore adapt the display to your needs.
In the point cloud area, a command has been extended with which a plane can be defined much more easily over any number of points. You also have the option of referring to areas / axes and using them to average out a plane. In the dialog you can also see the deviation which you have due to the dots very nicely.
Now it is also possible to parameterize the part attributes of a part. This means that you can also have the width and height of a part specified in the part number of a part as an example. This offers you a multitude of possibilities to get a lot more out of your constructions and then to pass this on to the parts lists.
I would also like to give you a small example here so that you can perhaps better integrate it into your construction. I take a Domico Planum cassette as an example, which was created for the element facade.
When ordering a Domico cassette, you usually specify the external height of the cassette. However, this is not possible by default, since HiCAD specifies the development width of the sheet metal cassette.
If you provide the sheet metal with a parameter in this case, then this value is read out to the desired attribute after installation. In the picture below, I have output the overall height (BH) + the height in the naming attribute as an example.
So you can see the following values in the HiCAD part attribute masks, which can subsequently be output to any position in the Excel parts list.
2 new parts list tables have been expanded in the Excel list. However, these must first be activated in the Excel template. These are deactivated by default.
Basically there is a variant for the folded plates. To make this clearer, the images are now shown on the side and the data on the right.
The same is now also available for the profile laying. Here the images are no longer as large as in previous versions. This also results in a much clearer representation of the parts list
The product range from EJOT was included in HiCAD 2022 and is now available to you.
The screws were also given a very high level of detail in order to better recognize them graphically. This representation can of course also be simplified.
The ALUCOBOND® easy fiX variant has now also been included for laying elements and is available to you if you have the element laying + Alucobond module. Of course, a large number of setting options are also available here.
The workshop drawing has been extended so that if you delete sections which you do not need, they will not be restored during the update.
It is very often the case that in the case of automatic workshop drawing, the axonometry should be different from what the automatism provides. Now it is the case that if you manually adjust the axonometry in the drawing, this will be noted during the update. So you don't have to turn the axonometry again after changing the part. It's a small but extremely annoying point that has been eliminated.
In response to multiple customer requests, the isometry in the workshop drawing has now also been linked to the master (main) view. Of course, this only applies if there are several assemblies on one layout. This helps you to edit the drawings later if you have to move the views manually.
The first part of the new 3D part labeling was introduced in HiCAD 2022. Currently, this is only evaluated under the following point in the main version 2700.0. You can recognize it by the fact that if you want to move it using drag & drop, the text remains on the mouse. In the next versions, the labels will be exchanged one after the other in order to always achieve a consistent result.
You shouldn't be surprised because there is no visual difference between the old and the new lettering.
The pull-down menu for the labeling has also been adapted and brought up to the current status of the functions.
Up until now it was the case in the drawing management that if you also managed external production documents such as view drawings, sectional drawings, assembly drawings, etc., that they only ever received a consecutive and constant drawing number. This was changed in HiCAD 2022 so that you can now configure and set it individually for you. So you can set this as an example as follows.
Another point has been added in the help area so that you can go directly to the file center and upload your files to the ISD file center even more easily.
Again, a lot of performance topics were dealt with and a lot of work was done under the hood in order to accelerate HiCAD in certain cases. Since you can't just turn a screw here to accelerate the whole program at the push of a button, the system is always accelerated in small steps where we receive feedback from the customers. Here I will try to show you this using small examples.
In this example the same IFC file was imported with the different versions. You can clearly see here that such topics are not only optimized in a major version but also in a service pack.

Changing referenced parts is also always an important point, which also takes a lot of time. Two examples in HiCAD 2020 and HiCAD 2021 were also compared. It is important to note, however, that certain constructions cannot accelerate.

Deleting parts from referenced assemblies has also become faster in the 2700. The optimization is only relevant if the construction has a certain size (100k parts +) and the referenced assembly is built into the construction several times.

The performance of the element installation is perceived as problematic by various customers. However, this primarily applies to situations in which several / many element relocations are in a construction and one is changed.
With version 2700, the creation and modification of a routing has improved again, sometimes significantly. However, the improvement is differently pronounced in the individual examples.
