New dialog when creating new views
The dialog for creating views has been further revised and thus also combined so that the list views also work with one command. Here it is important to note that the commands that were previously used to create list views are now omitted.
Improvements for view headings
Additional options have been added to the view title to make it even easier to place. The names will then also be changed in SP2 so that they do not appear too long and are also easier to read.
3D lettering with recessed lines and hatching
In the configuration management can be under System Settings > Annotations > Part Annotation Set whether lines of parts and hatches behind a 3D annotation should be broken. Is there the option Break background lines active, then hatching and lines behind the text are hidden. This applies to the display types glass model, hidden line, hidden line dashed and shaded with hidden line.
Clean up penetration
The Cleanup Penetration has also been completely re-done and in the process the commands of 3D parts and folded plates have been merged. This is the first step to make dealing with tube lasers even easier.
Edge flaps on surface

The new dialog allows you to enter different parameters for each edging. You also have the option of setting the corner processing directly in the dialog. You can use this feature to conveniently change the tabs at any time in one step.
Cutting course of folded sheets in the drawing derivation
The generation of the cutting course in the automatic drawing derivation of folded plates has been optimized in HiCAD 2022 SP1. Cuts are no longer made through recesses at the end of the tab. This also results in much more legible automatic drawings.
Railing handrail on wall
With the railing configurator handrails with wall mounting can now also be created. This is the tab Post - Handrail been extended by corresponding variants.
This means that the wall handrails can now be defined very quickly and easily in the standard.
There are of course other innovations in the area of the railing, which you can see here even better.
divide area
The Split area function has been completely revised and updated. It is now possible to easily change the function later. The possibility was also created that you can share it with a sketch.
This results in many other simpler options for modeling.
