HiCAD 2020 (SP1) - facade film
This function places a film along an edge line from a sketch.
After calling up the function via the docking window Construction functions - General construction - Construction - Sectional views (3D) - Foil, the Foil dialog box opens:
If you activate the Use semi-finished product option, you can select a semi-finished product from the catalog in the Select semi-finished product field below. These are taken from the path company standards - foils. The fields thickness, permeability and design are then filled with the values of the semi-finished product and can no longer be changed by hand. In addition, the name of the semi-finished product is entered as the part number for the film produced and a check is made to ensure that the width of the film is not greater than the width required for the selected edging.
HiCAD 2020 (SP1) - visible side for folded sheets
Folded sheets to which an identifier for the visible side is assigned are taken into account when identifying identical parts. If, for example, the construction contains two folded sheets of the same size, one of which has an identifier for the visible side, then the sheets are not considered to be the same and receive different item numbers.
HiCAD 2020 | SP1: Template-based workshop drawings
When the elements are moved, it is now possible to automatically generate the production drawings of individual facade elements on the basis of the predefined template drawings. All associative functionalities as well as 3D dimensions and designations and sectional and detailed views are adapted and updated. If changes are to be made within a project, the existing drawings are also updated.
HiCAD 2020 | SP1: BESISTA cross brace with circular disc
This design variant connects two, three or four profiles or sheets with a cross bracing of the type “Besista with circular disc”. Here the profiles / sheets are connected to a circular disk using a Besista tension rod system consisting of tension rods and rod anchors.
HiCAD 2020 | SP1: positioning
A new standard positioning has been available in HiCAD since version 2018. The “old” positioning, which was valid up to version 2017, is currently only available for scenes that have already been positioned with this method. From HiCAD 2021, only the “new” standard positioning will be supported! HiCAD 2020 from SP1 now offers three options for the premature changeover to the new standard positioning.
HiCAD 2020 | SP1: quick display
In the case of complex constructions, there may be waiting times, especially when updating views in Hidden Line mode. In order to reduce this, HiCAD offers the option of using the corresponding quick hidden line display - the so-called quick display - for the display of views with long calculation times instead of the exact hidden line calculation. This significantly increases the performance when editing and updating views. Situations in which this mode is very useful are, for example, opening a design with updated referenced parts or switching from the model view to a sheet area with many views.
