New Part Properties Window


The Properties dialog now supports multi-selection: when multiple parts are selected in the design, a shared mask displays common settings for all parts. This allows values to be changed or assigned simultaneously for all selected parts. If the parts are of the same type, the corresponding type-specific mask appears; for mixed types, a special multi-selection mask is shown. Attributes missing on some parts are still displayed and can be added directly. The HELiOS user display has been removed from the Properties dialog and is now shown in the title bar of the design.

Design Variante Konsole


A new console design variant now allows installation between two profiles or with general parts such as concrete walls. This makes it much easier to create additional connections in steel and metal construction.

Extension of the Part Structure


In the 3D and 2D part structure, there is now an "Expand" function that opens a list of all existing levels in the design. From there, you can select how many levels should be expanded.

Facade panel


In Service Pack 2, a new variant was developed that allows facade panels to be created and defined in straight or bent form—as classic metal or glass panels.

Manufacturability Test for Sheets


The manufacturability test combines key checks for bent sheets and can be configured under Bent Sheet > Manufacturability Test in the configuration management. It checks, among other things, the distances between features and bending zones or edges, maximum sheet dimensions, collision-free unfolding, minimum flange length, minimum bending radius, as well as distances between features and minimum hole diameters.

Results are displayed in the Design Checker, and faulty parts are also marked in the ICN. The values for the tests can be loaded from catalogs or directly from the configuration management, or defined individually. For accurate testing, the corresponding tables for materials and raw stock must be properly maintained.

Additionally, there are tests to verify direction symbols and part orientations to ensure correct drawing derivations. These comprehensive checks help identify manufacturing errors early and make the production of bent sheets more efficient.

Further Development of Standard Processing


The function for 3D standard operations such as drilling, countersinking, and threading has been completely revamped. The dialog is now consistent across all shapes and offers new options to save settings as favorites or to adopt them from existing operations. Coordinates are displayed with a grid, and automatic preview generation can be turned off. Rectangles can now be defined with or without rounded corners, countersinks offer more catalog options, and blind holes with countersinks are now possible. New options for length and countersink definition have been added for slots and holes. Additionally, the grid function has been enhanced to allow more standard operations and to selectively exclude certain positions in the grid. These updates make processing more flexible and efficient.

New Development: Profile Extension


The dialog window for profile extension under Steel Construction > Extend > Change Length has been modernized. The options “Change Total Length” and “Change Length to Point” are now integrated and can be selected in the length specification area. Additionally, the total length can be adopted from a reference profile via an icon. A new feature allows multiple profiles to be selected and adjusted in length simultaneously.

Define LogiKal Cross-Sections


With the LogiKal import, you can now directly select the level of detail for cross-sections within the installation dialog. In addition to the exact representation, five other detail levels are available. This integration significantly simplifies configuration compared to earlier HiCAD versions.
